Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 refrigerated seamless crescent dough sheet about 8 ounces
  • 3/4 cup cold prepared plain mashed potatoes
  • 1/3 cup frozen peas thawed and lightly crushed
  • 1 teaspoon neutral oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • Pinch of cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • Cooking spray
  • Chutney for serving

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Microwave oil and cumin seeds in a small microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds; cool briefly.
  2. Mix potatoes, peas, cumin oil, garam masala, coriander, salt, cayenne, and cilantro. The filling should be cool and firm.
  3. Unroll the dough, pinch any seams, and spread filling in a thin even layer, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Roll tightly from a long side.
  4. Cut into eight equal pinwheels. Place cut-side down in a lightly sprayed basket with space between them.
  5. Air-fry 8 to 10 minutes until deeply golden and the dough at the center is cooked, working in batches. Rest 2 minutes and serve with chutney.

Notes

  • Keep filling cold.
  • Use a serrated knife with gentle sawing strokes.
  • Do not crowd or stack pinwheels.
  • Air fryers brown unevenly, so rotate positions if needed.
